Cornman - Lafferty.

Mr. William E. Cornman, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Miss Mary F. Lafferty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Lafferty, of 1315 Sixteenth avenue (sic), were united in marriage at the Grace Lutheran church (sic) yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by the pastor, Rev. M. H. Krumbine. The couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Chas. W. Albright, the latter a sister of the bride. Only a few of the intimate friends of the contracting parties witnessed the ceremony, and at 3:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Cornman left for Florida, where they will make their home. Mr. Cornman is a nephew of former City Commissioner H. J. Cornman and was formerly located in this city. He is a printer by trade and held the position of foreman of the job department with the Altoona Mirror Printing company before going south five years ago. He is now engaged in the dairy and cattle business at West Palm Beach in association with his brother, and has been very successful In the business. The bride is one of Altoona's best known and most accomplished young ladies, being a vocalist of rare accomplishment Their many friends will wish them a happy married life.

William E. Cornman, of 1311 16th Ave., recently retired printer with 15 years service with the Altoona Tribune, died Sunday evening at 5 o'clock at the Mercy hospital (sic).

He was born in Carlisle, Nov. 24, 1875, the son of Joseph and Margaret (Egolff) Cornman.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian church (sic) and Altoona Local No. 240 of the International Typographical Union.

Mr. Cornman was in the printing trade nearly all his life, learning the trade early in life from his father who conducted a job printing establishment for many years.

He is survived by is wife, Mary Lafferty Cornman, and one daughter, Mrs. Martha Cooper of Oak Ridge, Tenn., one brother Joseph Cornman, of Baltimore, Md., and one sister, Lillian Cornman, of Baltimore, Md.

Friends may call at the John P. Lafferty funeral home, after 7 o'clock Monday evening.
