LaVern Stark Wahlen, age 79, died Friday, October 18, 1991 in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born March 6, 1912 in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Alma Pedersen and Christiana Johanna Hansen Stark. Married Arvid Hilmer Wahlen November 17, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah; later solemnized in the LDS Temple.She is a member of the D.U.P. Her Grandparents were handcart pioneers. She worked as a nurse at the LDS Hospital. Excelled in gardening, handy work, and cooking. Loved to read, especially history. Avid geneologist and faithful member of the LDS church. Adored by all her family members and will be greatly missed.

Survived by Her children, Sherry Wahlen, Sandra Westbrook, Arva Janson, Arvid Wahlen, Mrs. Paul (Yvonne) Quist, Mitzie Peterson; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Grace Foutz, Shirley Dimmick; brothers, Alois Stark, Ray Stark. Preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 21, 1991, 11 a.m. at the Val Verda 6th ward, 2651 south 500 west. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 north main, and Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Cemetery
