Mrs. Carolyn Sue Housewright Rhoton, age 69, of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was born in Springfield, Ohio

She resided most of her life in Church Hill, TN. She was retired from Eastman Chemical Company and was a member of Elim Independent Baptist Church. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Zeda Mae Overbay Housewright; and two brothers, Hugh Housewright, Jr. and Donnie Housewright.

Surviving are her husband, Allen Rhoton of the home, sons, Kevin Van Caldwell and wife Shawn of Church Hill, Brian Van Caldwell of Illinois, daughter, Lisa Ann Duncan and husband Phillip Bart of Kingsport; grandchildren, Johnathon “Rudy” Duncan and wife Holly and their expectant child, Willow Grace Duncan of Johnson City; Joshua Andrew Duncan of Kingsport, Tyler Lee Caldwell of Maryland, Jordan Mackenzie Caldwell and wife Stephanie and their son, Bently of Kingsport, Chasity Caldwell and her daughter Emily of Illinois, and Mikayla Caldwell of Illinois; sister, Ruby Darlene Adkins and husband Gerald of Church Hill, and brother, George Housewright and wife Sarah of Kingsport; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 3:00PM in the Church Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Eulogy given by Don Duncan.

Burial will follow in Church Hill Memory Gardens with grandsons and family as pallbearers.
