Church Hill- Joe Marsh, 79, of Church Hill, joined his loving wife early Friday morning (January 23, 2015) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. He worked as a teenager at Wallace Alley Car lot in Church Hill. Mr. Marsh was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from AFG Greenland with over 30 years of service. Following retirement, he enjoyed farming, going to tractor pulls, and attending auctions. He especially loved helping his neighbors and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by his loving wife, Willie Caldwell Marsh; parents, Orbin and Maude Tucker Marsh; a step-mother, Nora Marsh; sister, Gertrude Messick; brother, Ed Marsh.
Joe Marsh is survived by his loving nieces, nephews, special neighbors, and many dear friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday (January 26, 2015) from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill.

A military graveside service will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 3/ Post # 265 on Monday (January 26, 2015) at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Gary Gerhardt, officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
