Mrs. Ross was born in Highfield, Maryland on Feb. 17, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Bertha (Harbaugh) Kipe Sr.
She had worked for many years as a nurse/receptionist for Dr. James Hammett. Jerry was a member of the Fairfield Homemakers.
Survivors include her two daughters, Julie Kehr and husband Richard of Hanover, and Mary Jo Murdorf and husband Buzz of Fairfield; two sisters, Josephine Spielman of Sharpsburg, Md., and Mary Ann Tihey of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two grandsons, two step-grandsons, a step-granddaughter, three great grandsons, one great granddaughter, five step-great grandsons, a step-great granddaughter, a great-great grandson and a great-great granddaughter.
She was predeceased by a brother, Carl Kipe Jr. and two sisters; Charlotte Poole and Janet Hahn.
