Funeral services for Mrs. Norman J. Davidson were held May 19, 1959 from Our Savior's Lutheran church at Evansville. Rev. John Skepstad officiated. Pallbearers were: Lloyd Sletto, Curtis Smith, Archie Henneman, Claire Christenson, Carl Lindemyer and Orrin Fedje. Interment was in Mound Grove cemetery.
Dorothea Alayne Reed was born at Calgary, Alberta, Canada Feb. 8, 1908, the daughter of Walter and Ella Reed. When Dorothea was a small child, the Reed family moved to North Dakota and later to Alexandria, where she grew to womanhood. On April 8 1946, she was united in marriage to Norman J. Davidson. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Davidson farmed near Evansville for several years; and for the past four years they have made their residence on a farm in Solem township.
Dorothea passed away at the Douglas County hospital in Alexandria May 16, at the age of 51 years, 3 months and 8 days. She is survived by her husband, Norman J. Davidson; one son, Darrell; her father, Walter S. Reed; two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Lloyd Johnson of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Grant Lindemyer of Alexandria, Norman reed of Mineral Point, wis., and Melvin Reed of Bayport, Minn.
