Robert A. Bott, 69, Alexander, Kansas, died August 3, 2011 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas
He was born November 6, 1941 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of John George and Clara M. Irvin Bott.
A lifelong resident of Rush County, Kansas, he was a farmer/stockman before his retirement. He also owned and operated the Hiway Cafe and the Bott Stop in Alexander for many years. He was a 1959 graduate of Alexander High School and a member of United Methodist Church, both of Alexander.
On August 26, 1964, he married Linda J. Morgan at United Methodist Church, Alexander. She died January 23, 1995.
Survivors include, one daughter, Dixie Balman and her husband, Dan of Hays; and three grandchildren Josh Balman, Megan Balman and Abby Balman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Visitation was August 5 4 to 8 p.m. at Janousek Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 lp.m. Church visitation was August 6 from 9 to 9:50 at United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. August 6,2011 at United Methodist Church, Alexander. Burial was at the Alexander Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Robert A. Bott Memorial Fund.
