Dick Bean, Head Of Construction Firm, Dies

Dick Bean, 1115 Knoxville Ave, head of the Bean Construction Co., died
unexpectedly of a heart attack at 12:30 this morning at his home.
Son of Dixon and Harriet Ware Bean, he was born in Peoria and married
Miss Lottie Hirt. His parents and four step-sisters are dead. (sic-his
step-sister, Grace Rebanks Magill didn’t die until Jan of 1962 in CA)
Surviving is his wife.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m Saturday at the Gauss mortuary
with Dr. A.R. McLaughlin of Union Congressional Church officiating.
Interment will be in Springdale cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary
from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Dick Bean Rites To Be Saturday

Funeral services for Dick Bean, 1115 Knoxville avenue, head of the Bean
Construction Co, who died suddenly of a heart attack at his home at
12:30 a.m. Thursday, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Gauss mortuary
chapel. Dr. A.R. McLaughlin of Union Congressional Church will officiate and
burial will be in Springdale cemeter. Friends may call at the mortuaryfrom 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Mr. Bean was born in Peoria, a son of Dick and Harriet Ware Bean. He married
Lottie Hirt.
Surviving is his wife. His parents and four step-sisters preceded him in death.
