Louis C. McDaniel, 79, of Anna, died suddenly this morning upon arrival at Union County Hospital in Anna.
Mr. McDaniel was born March 20, 1896, in Cobden to Charles Fredrick and Mary Agnes Patterson McDaniel. He married Meva Smith on June 18, 1925.
Mr. McDaniel attended the First Baptist Church of Anna. He was a 50 year member of Anna Lodge No 520 AF&AM and a 50 year member of the Royal Arch Masons. He was also a veteran of World War I and a member of Townsend F. Dodd Post No 344 of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Meva; two sons, Louis Jr. and Edward; three sisters, Pearl McDaniel, Janet Anderson and Martha Williams; and one brother, Henry Whelpley.
