Funeral services for Samuel Herbert Barr, 85, of Scotch Hill, who died in the Oil City Hospital at 9:15 a. m. Wednesday, will be held in the Jenkins Funeral Home, Clarion. Rev. George Braun of the Clarion Methodist Church will officiate, and interment will be in the Clarion Cemetery.

He was born January 27, 1866 in Scotch Hill, the son of George W. and Sarah Fitzgerald Barr.

He was a member of the Methodist Church. His occupation was a carpenter.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Albert Howe of Leeper, Mrs. John Blair of Akron. O., and Mrs. Charles E. Ritz of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Frank W. Barr of Sheffield and Charles M. Barr of Akron, O.
