Diana Sue Lyle, age 62, of Eunice, New Mexico, formerly of Mangum, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014, at OU Medical Center, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Diana was born in Mangum, Oklahoma on May 9, 1952, to Calvin C. “Slim” and Thelma Sue (Roller) Atchley. After attending Mangum Schools, Diana worked for many years at the Mangum Sale Barn and at several different cafes in Mangum. In the 1970’s and early 1980’s Diana worked as a contract flagman for many of the state highway projects in Southwest Oklahoma. In the late 1980’s she moved to Hobbs, New Mexico to be near her son, David, and ran the bowling alley and an antique store until later moving to Eunice, New Mexico where she lived until her death. A longtime caregiver to others and especially to her family members, Diana enjoyed reading, junking and attending garage sales.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert L. Lyle and a sister, Naomi Beaver, she is survived by one son, David A. “Tony” Kerbo and wife Samantha of Eunice, New Mexico; three brothers, Dwayne Atchley and wife Rose of Branson, Missouri, Lynn Atchley of Eunice, New Mexico and John Connaly of Pink, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Dustin Gaskins of Eunice and Elizabeth Gaskins and fiancé, Tyler Terry of Eunice; two special aunts, Juene Warren of Mangum and Della Mae Phillips of Mangum; two nieces, three nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Diana Lyle will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, at Greer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rowdy Schenck officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
