Christiana was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Moser. Christiana was married to Samuel Eakins on January 8th 1832 at the First Presbyterian Church in Kensington. During the Civil War, Acting Master Samuel Eakins, United States Navy, was appointed as the commander of the U.S.S. ALLIGATOR, the Navy's first submarine. He is interred at the Raleigh National Cemetery in Wake County, North Carolina.
