From the Abney Book: "On 14 Aug 1756, Thomas Spraggins (son-in-law of Dannett Abney, Jr.), patented 454 acres of land bordered by Thomas Hodges and George Abney." and " On 17 Jul 1765, George was listed among the male voters of Halifax Co., VA along with Thos. Spraggins, Wm. Abney (son), Thos. Spraggins Sr. (nephew), Dannett Abney (son), Nat. Spraggins (nephew)."
