He was a retired farmer and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
He was survived by his wife, Helen (Sears) Erp (married April 8, 1926 in the Drum community); his sons, Carmon Erp of Somerset, Kentucky, Ray Erp of Springdale, Ohio, and Vola Erp of Union; his daughter, Retta B. Tomlison of Winchester; his sister, Zelda Null of Indianapolis, Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George William Erp and Mollie (Goodin) Erp.
Funeral services were held at Clay Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Edmond Vanhook and Reverend Warren Carroll officiating. Pulaski Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
