Leona Claussen, 83, of Eldridge, died Friday, December 22, 1989, at St. Luke's Hospital in Davenport.
Visitation will be 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, at Runge Mortuary in Davenport. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity in her memory.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, at Runge Mortuary in Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa.
Leona Schneckloth was born June 2, 1906, in Scott County, the daughter of Herman and Laura (Schneckloth) Schneckloth. She married Clarence Claussen on February 16, 1928, in Davenport. They farmed near Eldridge, until they retired to Eldridge. Clarence preceded her in death in 1982.
Surviving are two daughters, Gladys (Rolland) Heikenn of Stockton and Verna (Harold) Feldpausch of Davenport; one son, Donald Claussen of Eldridge; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl and Amil Schneckloth; and one half brother, Alvin Kuhl, all of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her step-father, Rudolph Kuhl.
