Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 23, at Runge Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa.
Clarence Claussen was born October 7, 1902, in Scott County, the son of William and Minnie (Schoor) Claussen. He married Leona Schneckloth on February 16, 1928, in Davenport. They farmed near Eldridge, until they retired to Eldridge in 1966. He was then employed as an O's Gold Seed Company representative, until retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Leona; two daughters, Gladys (Rolland) Heikenn of Stockton and Verna (Harold) Feldpausch of Davenport; two sons, Donald and Delmar Claussen, both of Eldridge; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wilma (Albert) Niemann of Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother, Lawrence Claussen, who was killed in France serving in the Army during World War II.
