The native of Fairfax, SC was a resident of Millen for 40 years, a retired ranch overseer, and his hobbies were training and riding horses with friends.
Graveside memorial services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Rosemary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Pulliam officiating. The family will receive friends in the social hall from 1:00 pm until the memorial service.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Lee Deer; his son, Vick S. “Butch” (Annette) Deer of Georgetown, SC; daughter, Pankey (Jesse) Kite of Macon; Grandson, Richard (Pamela) Deer of Roanoke Va; step-son, Ronnie (Betty Jo) Dickey; step-daughters, Elaine (Randy) Brannen and Wanda (David) Chance all of Millen.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Howdy McTeer, David Clark, Pat Clark, Earl Driggers, F. A. Black, Pat and Dr. Marion Lane, and Billy Evans.
