He was the owner and operator of the former Pan Am Service Station in Glasgow and was a member of South Green St. Church of Christ.

He served our country proudly and was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II.
Survivors:
One foster son: Tim Runyon (Nicole); a foster grandson: Ryan Runyon, all of Roswell, Georgia; one sister: Christine Harris (Ed) of Edmonton; one sister-in-law: McRee Houchens (Charles) of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services held Friday, December 12, 2014 at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Military honors provided by DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow at the cemetery.
