LeMieux, Gertrude L. 90, of Zion and formerly of Waukegan, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Rolling Hills Manor Nursing Home in Zion. She was born December 28, 1921 in Highbridge, WI. Prior to retirement, she worked at Abbott Laboratories from 1953 to 1977. Gertrude is survived by her sons, David (Cynthia) LeMieux of Gurnee and Norman (Linda) LeMieux of Burr Ridge, IL; 3 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; also by her sister, Lucy Jumisko of Zion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert E. LeMieux on January 8, 2001; 6 sisters and 1 brother. Private funeral services for the family were held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME, 408 N. Sheridan Rd. Waukegan. Entombment at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville. Donations in Gertrude LeMieux's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Illinois 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631.
