Maxine B. Mitchell passed away suddenly on March 18, 2006 at her home in Midwest City. Maxine was born November 24, 1926, in Huntsville, AR to Doyle and Florence Burgess.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Max L. Mitchell, and her 2 sons, Larry D. Mitchell and Virgil (Bobby) Mitchell.
She is survived by her son Phillip L. Mitchell and his wife, Teresa of Midwest City. Daughters-in-law; Dana Mitchell of Del City and Marlene Patterson of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by grandsons, Keith Allen Jones, Bryan Mitchell and wife Kathy, Daniel Mitchell and wife Monique, Jason Mitchell, Denny Mitchell and Matthew Mitchell - also granddaughters, Stephanie Ruminer and Jennifer Jackson. She was Grandma Mitchell to 11 great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Doyle Burgess Jr. and Carroll Burgess. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Burgess and sister-in-laws, Doris Carter and Charlotte Burgess all of Huntsville, AR and Wilda Burgess of Ontario, CA.
Maxine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of MWC and also attended First Southern Baptist Church of Del City. She was a long time volunteer at MWC Hospital and the Meals On Wheels Program at church.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be at Barnes and Johnson Funeral Home in MWC. Services will be conducted by her nephew Pastor Bill Mitchell. Memorials can be sent to the Midwest Regional Hospital Volunteer Program. Maxine was very blessed with family and friends.
