Mrs. Mary Jane Scrogham, 90, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday morning on December 3, 2014 with her family by her side.
Mrs. Scrogham was born March 12, 1924 in Indiana to parents Francis and Mattie Ferguson. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Omer D. Scrogham; son, James Richard Scrogham and sister-in-law, Patricia G. Scrogham.
She is survived by her children, Charles W. (Kay) Scrogham, Shirley Blair, Mildred Blair, Annabelle (Jerry M.) Gibson, Thomas L. (Fonda) Scrogham, Carolyn (Richard) Caswell, Sally Scrogham, Marvin D. (Lois) Scrogham, Darrell (Kathy) Scrogham. She has 24 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
A public visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Roberts Funeral Home Downtown Chapel 606 SW 2nd Avenue Ocala, Florida 34471. A Celebration of Life will be at the South Ocala Baptist Church 2907 SE 52nd Street Ocala, Florida 34480 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens 5050 SW 20th Street Ocala, Florida, United States 34474. Roberts Funeral Homes Downtown Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
