George L. Courrier, 83, a longtime Moberly resident, died at 10:40 p.m. Friday at Community Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient four days. He had been in failing health for some time.
Mr. Courrier was born Dec. 19, 1893, to Arthur and Rosa Belle Courrier. He had lived in Moberly all his life.
He was a retired contractor and a member of the Glad Tidings Church.
He is survived by his widow, Marie, of the home, one daughter, Mrs. Oleta Tipton, Vandalia; step-daughter, Mrs. Maudie Benton, and a step-son, David Fisher, both of Benton Harbor, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Beulah Harper, Buffalo, N.Y.; and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cater Funeral Home, with Brother Stanley Kostenchi officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at Cater Funeral Home.
