Lydia Cox, 92, died Saturday evening, June 30, 1990, at the Mapleton Community Home.
Services will be ll a.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church in Amboy, the Rev Clint Patterson officiating. Burial will be in the Sterling Cemetery in rural Amboy.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Amboy and one hour before services at the church.
Mrs Cox was born in Sterling, Jan 12, 1898, to Edward and Nettie (Keith) Annis. She graduated from mankato High School and attended Mankato Normal School. She married Walter Cox, Oct 23, 1919, in Vernon Center. They were life-long residents of the Amboy and Mapleton area. Her husband died in 1975. She was a member of the Sterling Study Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Cox of Rochester; two sons and their wives, Lee and Marian of Amboy and Stanley and Betty of Burnsville; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
