Walter Lee Cox, 77, who died this morning at the Valley Hospital in Mankato, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Amboy Presbyterian Church. The Rev Clifford Rogers will officiate, and burial will be in the Sterling Cemetery.
Mr Cox was born Sep 2, 1897, in Prairie City, Iowa. He married Lydia Annis in 1919 in Vernon Center. He farmed in Sterling Township for 50 years, retiring to Amboy in 1967. He was a member of the church and the Woodman Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia; three sons, Lee, of Amboy, Stanley, Burnsville; and Harold of Mankato; a daughter, Betty Cox of Rochester; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs T G Crane, of Garden City; and a brother, Charles, of Mesa, Ariz.
Visitation will be at the Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Amboy from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and for one hour before the service at the church.
