Mr. David Sims Crosby, 57, died Monday morning (November 24, 2014) at his sister's residence in Jacksonville, FL. He was a native of Pierce County, but he lived most of his life in Waycross. He was a construction worker and served in the National Guard for 18 years.

He is the son of the late Courtland Sims Crosby and Aileen Emma Bowen Crosby. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Crosby and James Henry Crosby; and two sisters, Mary Crosby Smith and Dorothy Crosby Crews.

Survivors include one daughter, Shannon Tess Crosby of Blackshear; one grandson, Brennin Levi Williams; one sister, Martha Crosby Blackman (husband George) of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, William Crosby (wife Linda) of South Boston, VA; numerous nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Martha Blackman and Doris McAtee.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday (November 26, 2014) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery in Offerman.
