Hephzibah, GA – Reverend Herman Walden , 84, of Farmers Bridge Road entered into the presence of our Lord and Savior on November 21, 2014.

Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors this Monday, November 24, 2014, at 3:00 P.M. with the Reverend Randy Walden officiating and Reverend Lamar Kersey assisting. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Reverend Walden was born on December 30, 1929 to the late Macon and Lucy Walden. He was a faithful member of Euphrates Baptist Church, Edge Hill, GA, and served as Assistant Pastor, after retiring from Hebron Baptist Church where he was the Pastor for 20 years, He also retired from Air Balance, Wrens, GA.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Virginia Dye Walden; two brothers, Tunnie and Ray Walden; and two sisters, Mildred Jenkins and Johnnie Anderson.

He is survived by his children, Dale (Rick) Pearre of Augusta, Elaine Livingston, Augusta, Carol (Bruce) Walker, Conyers, GA, Audrey Jones and Steve Culley both of Augusta; his brothers, his twin Reverend Thurman Walden, Hephzibah, Macon Walden, Louisville, GA and Benny Walden, Edge Hill, GA; sisters, Mary Huff, Augusta, Frankie Lamb, Augusta, Ollie Ruth Searcy, New Castle, IN; fourteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren many nieces, nephews; and among many, his best friend, Ruby Hallford, Augusta and Nell and Hollis Gibson, Swainsboro.

Pallbearers will be, Jason Walker, Jonathan Walker, Vance Anderson, Wallace Munford, Wayne Dye and Thomas Dye.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
