Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Strebeck, Pastor – Lakeview United Methodist Church officiating.
Opal Mozelle Seago was born March 4, 1920 in Wheeler County, Texas to William and Anna (Wardlaw) Seago. On June 1, 1938 in Hartley, TX she married Howard Baker. Opal was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed making bread for her children to enjoy after school each day, providing cream pies and pimento sandwiches for the basketball concessions and making friends feel welcomed and at home when they visited. She was a seamstress, accountant, homemaker and brownie leader who could crochet, knit and write poetry. An active member of the Methodist Church, she taught Sunday School and bible school.
Opal is survived by her children- Bonnie Talley, Shreveport, LA, Jim Baker and his wife Lynn of Singapore , Christy Baker of Kyle, Texas. granddaughters: Nichole Laws and husband Brian, Amber Ewen, Katherine Baker, Jacqueline Baker. great-grandchildren - Jackson Laws, Brandon Laws, Gavin Laws, Emma Ewen, and Winston Laws.
Preceded in death by her Parents, husband Howard, six siblings and one grandson
