Jacob H. Wolfe, 90, of Adrian, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at Sugar Creek Rest. Born Sept. 2, 1924, in East Franklin Township, he was a son of the late McKinley and Stella (Ruffner) Wolfe. He had worked at Haws Refractories, Glacial Sand and Gravel Co., and then retired from Laborers Local No. 952. Mr. Wolfe enjoyed hunting and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen L. (Kaufman) Wolfe, (whom he married in July 1944), on July 22, 2014; daughter, Kathy Swaney; grandson, Jimmy Wolfe; great-grandson, Matthew Johns; two brothers, John Wolfe and Audley "Zeke" Wolfe; four sisters, Mary Johns, Evelyn Toy, Dorothy Faulx and Mae Ambrose; and three half brothers, Jerry, William and Richard Wolfe. Survivors include a daughter, Connie (Jim) Crawford, of Karns City RD2; five sons, Jacob (Kathy) Wolfe Jr., of Sherrett, James (Linda) Wolfe, of East Brady RD1, Robert (Patricia) Wolfe, of Adrian, Marty (Debbie) Wolfe, of Garretts Run, and Ronald (Teri) Wolfe, of Adrian; son-in-law, Rick Swaney, of Adrian; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ray G. Wolfe, of Adrian; sister, Virginia Roncher, of Adrian; and half sister, Linda Black, of Butler. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, in Cowansville, and from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, in Adrian, with the Rev.
