Mary Helen White, 74, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, November 9, 2014 in her home in Prairieville, Louisiana.
She was born October 31, 1940 to Mauricio and Francis (Cruz) Barbosa in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Mary married Jerrol “Jerry” White on December 1,1962. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2005.
She worked at Steven’s Hats, Barbosa’s Mexican Restaurant, and was a salesclerk later in life.
Mrs. White was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; Pelen E.C. Barbosa and Merced Barbosa, and a sister; Lupe Cathcart.
Survivors: daughter, Lisa White Clark (Will); and two grandchildren, Trey and Ella Clark, Prairieville, LA; 4 brothers; Jesse Barbosa (Wanda), St. Joseph, MO, Jason Barbosa, Maryville, MO, Faustino Barbosa, St. Joseph, MO, Rick Barbosa (Norma), Virginia Beach, VA; 5 sisters, Bernie Ceglenski (Mike), Helena, MO, Julia Burris, St. Joseph; Christina Torres (Carlos), Austin, Texas; Ruth Curtain, St. Joseph, MO; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
