JASPER McKAY DIES SUDDENLY
Local Man Suffers Fatal Attack of Acute Indigestion At Home Monday Night

Jasper N. McKay, trustee of Addison township, died suddenly Monday night at 7:45 o'clock at his home, 837 Elm street, following an attack of acute indigestion. Mr. McKay enjoyed his usual good health yesterday and did not complain of feeling bad until he suffered the fatal attack.

He was serving his third year as trustee of Addison township and had previously held the office of trustee of Liberty township for seven years and of Shelby township for four years. He had also been a teacher for many years. Most of his life had been spent in Liberty township. For the past seven years he had made his home in Shelbyville. At the time of death Mr. McKay was seventy-one years of age.

His marriage to Miss Margaret Ensminger took place April 5, 1883, and five children were born to them, four of whom survive. Mrs. McKay's death occurred in March of 1919. A daughter, Mrs. Edith Arbuckle, preceded in death in 1920.

A number of years ago, Mr. McKay became a member of the Vienna church east of Middletown and later became a member of the West Street Methodist church of this city. He was affiliated with the Knights of Pythias lodge at Blue Ridge and the Waldron order of Odd Fellows.
He leaves; one son, Robert E. McKay, of Greensburg, formerly of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Aquilla [Norma] Marshall, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Frank McKay, of Waldron and Dora McKay, of near Sandusky, and four grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the West Street Methodist Episcopal church, with the Rev. R.R. Cross officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill cemetery in charge of Charles M. Ewing, funeral director.
