Born on March 8, 1922; passed away April 1, 2009 in Mountlake Terrace WA.. She grew up in the small town of Granite Falls, NC, the eldest of 8 brothers and sisters born to Henry and Ruth (Carter) Coffey. In 1950, newly married Mae and husband Ken settled in Seattle and raised their 3 children. She is survived by a son, two daughters, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, three sisters, nieces and nephews [survivors names omitted]. Preceded in death by her husband Ken in 1982.

Visitation, Friday April 3, 10:00AM - 8:00PM; Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home 11111 Aurora Ave N. Seattle. Graveside Service, Saturday April 4, 1:00PM, Evergreen Memorial Park with a Memorial Service at 2:30PM; Berean Bible Church 2345 N. 185th St. Shoreline WA. 98133. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for family and friends in North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 26, 1:30PM at Abernathy Memorial United Methodist Church, Rutherford College.--Evergreen Washelli Funeral Homes
