Mrs. Gay Ashworth Bennett, 60, of Murfreesboro died Thursday at her residence. A graveside service was to be today at 2 p.m. at State Line Methodist Church Cemetery with James Ashworth officiating and Woodfin Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include her husband, Roy H. Bennett; a daughter, Carol Schmus_ of Hawaii; a son, Col. Thomas Rawlings of Illinois; her mother, Ella Posey Ashworth of Gurley, Ala.; a sister, Wanda A. Stafford of Nashville; two brothers, James Ashworth of Gurley and Ernest Ashworth of Tennessee; and one grandchild.
