Leola M. Eley, 95, of Cridersville, died 6:40 a.m., Sat. Oct. 3, 2015, at the Wapakoneta Manor. She was born Oct. 25, 1919, in Cridersville, the daughter of Arthur & Emma (Winget) South. On Sept. 6, 1941, she married John C. Eley, and he died Nov. 22, 2006.

Leola was a homemaker. She was a member of the former Calvary United Methodist Church, Cridersville, and the Bowersock Bros. V.F.W. Post #6771, Ladies Auxiliary, Spencerville. Leola was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. An excellent cook, her potato salad and apple pie were simply the best.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wed. Oct. 7, 2015, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Matthew Cemetery, near Cridersville.
