Mrs. Ledbetter was born Feb. 23, 1905 in Wharton's Creek, Ark. to Jim and Alice (Bolinger) Bowman. She grew up and attended schools in Madison County, Ark.
On Dec. 13, 1924, she married Samuel J. Ledbetter in Madison County, Ark. He died Oct. 13, 1987. (Nine known children were born to this union.)
Mrs. Ledbetter lived in Kansas for 40 years, moving to Oklahoma in 1978 to settle in Chouteau. She had lived in Oaks the past five years. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include two sons, three daughters, one sister, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She also was preceded in death by four sons, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Fairview Cemetery of Niotaze, KS, under the direction of the Wilson-Cunningham Funeral Home." per her obit.
