Effie Rosamond Mercer lived on a farm and the family sold eggs from the farm.
One day when Effie was helping with the eggs, she wrote her name and address on
an egg. The egg was sold and found it's way to Camp Sherman at Chillicothe, Ohio.
Horace Anderson was stationed at Camp Sherman. When he got out of the service
he looked her up and they later got married.
