Mrs. Lorinda Atkins passed away at her home, 1011 East Seventh street, Tuesday afternoon, January 27. Heat trouble was the cause of her death. She was 50 years old.

Lorinda Burr was born in Muscatine county, January 7, 1870.

When six years old she moved with her parents to Adair county and lived there four years. She then went to Cedar county and in 1909 she moved to Muscatine where she spent the remainder of her life.

On October 19, 1887, she was united in marriage to
Eli Atkins
to with union thirteen children were born, eleven of who are living.

She is survived by her husband, eleven children; Peggy, Ray, Harry, Alfred, Charles, Roy, Clifford, Ruby, Emma, Deimer and Mrs. Id Shannon.
Five sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren also survive.

Burial will be made at Rochester, Iowa Thursday morning

Gravesite Details

Lorinda's final resting place is not marked and is located on the north side of the cemetery, along the west fence line, between Lewis and Lucretia Atkins's stones and Alwilda Cooley's stone.
