James Nelson Powers Presque Isle. The family of James Powers was deeply saddened by his loss 10-20-1996 at a Presque Isle health-care facility. He was born in East Chapman 7-23-1917 the son of Patrick and Mary (Beaulieu) Powers. He served in the US Army during WWII. He landed at Omaha Beach in Normandy and was involved in 5 campaigns, the last being the invasion of Berlin. He is survived by his wife, Madeline, 2 daughters, Theresa and her husband, G. Corey Nelson and Anne and her husband, Ross McQuade, 2 sons, David and his wife, Pam and Joseph and his wife, Sue, 8 grandchildren, 3 brothers, Edmund, Justin and Peter, 1 sister, Martha Marston. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Thomas and Llewellyn. Burial St. Marys Chapman St. cemetery.
