Thomas Powers Sr. Presque Isle 80. Died at a Presque Isle hospital 3-28-1992. He was born in East Chapman 5-22-1911 the son of Patrick and Mary (Beaulieu) Powers. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and Fisherman, a registered Maine guide, a member of the NRA and a life member of the Presque Isle Fish and Game Club. He attended Van Buren High School. In 1982 he retired from the Rathbun Lumber Co., after 23 years of service. During WWII he was a instructor for the American Red Cross. He was a member of Council No. 2524 K of C of Presque Isle. Surviving are his wife of 57 years Evelyn (Trombley) Powers, 2 sons and a daughter in law, Dale and Barbara Powers, Thomas Powers Jr., 2 daughters and a son in law, Jean and William Nettles, all of Presque Isle and Pauline Powers of New York, 4 brothers, Edmund, James and Peter, all of Presque Isle and Justin of Caribou, a sister, Martha Marston of Presque Isle, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Llewellyn Powers and a grandson, Christopher Powers. Burial St. Marys North Main St. cemetery.
