"Helen Arones, 94, of Wernersville, passed away October 20, 2014 in Phoebe Berks Healthcare Center.
Born in Newark, NJ, she was predeceased by birth parents George and Christine Yeakos and her adoptive parents James and Calomera Arones.
Helen was a 1938 graduate of Kearney High School. She was employed at New Jersey Bell Telephone for many years. She was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
Surviving is a sister, Katherine A. Savadelis, Wernersville and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Chris Yeakos.
Services will be Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 E. Wyomissing Blvd., Reading, 19611, Rev. Thomas L. Pappalas officiating. Family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 a.m. at church. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Orange, NJ.
