On the 1860 Census, Benjamin was living in Flat Creek Twp, Stone County, Missouri with his older sister Mary J. (age 24). Benjamin F. was age 12, John P. was age 10 and Sarah C. was age 9.

On Sept. 15, 1867, Benjamin married Elizabeth Fannie Beal in Springfield, Mo., according to Missouri Marriage, 1805-2002, viewed on ancestry.com.

On the 1870 Census, Benjamin was living with the Elisha Edwards family, not with his wife nor with his brother Lorenzo's family who were only a few farms away. Benjamin had a one-year-old daughter living with him named Sarah J., but W. Yellie and his mother have not yet been found on that Census.

Benjamin and his family were migrating back north from Texas to Oklahoma, which was then called "Indian Territory" ca 1888, when Benjamin died en route and was buried near the Red River in Texas.

The 1910 Census shows Fannie N. Bolen, widowed, age 55 and living with her daughter Sarah's family, the William H. Gordons in Lincoln, Oklahoma.
