OBIT: ALBERT R. McKINNEY, 87, of Kirklin
route 2, died at 4:15 p.m. November 8, 1961
in Newsum Nursing Home. He had been in
failing health the past four and one-half years.
Funeral services will be conducted from the
Hills Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Friday, with the
Rev. Earl H. Anderson officiating. Interment
will be in Hills Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Goodwin Funeral Home
after 2 p.m. today (November 9, 1961). The
remains will lie in state at the church one hour
prior to the services Friday.
A retired farmer, Mr. McKinney was a native
of Sugar Creek Township and had lived in
Clinton County his entire life. He and his wife
Ota, observed their 66th wedding anniversary
last Friday. They were married November 3, 1895.
Born August 12, 1874, he was the son of Asa
and Lydia Ann Thurman McKinney. He was a
member of the Hills Baptist Church.
Surviving with the widow are several nieces
and nephews. A son, Herbert, and a daughter,
Beatrice, preceded him in death.
