ALBERT LEA GIRL KILLED IN CRASH ON HIGHWAY 16
An early morning two car crash on Highway 16 about 4 miles east of Albert Lea today claimed the life of Judy Callahan, 19, of 225 Front Street.
Miss Callahan a passenger in a car driven by Gerald Koch, 19, of Glenville died at 2:45 this morning following her admittance to Naeve Hospital.
Koch and Gary R. Collins, 21, of Emmons the driver of the other car, were also admitted to the hospital and are in satisfactory condition.
The highway patrol reported that Koch was east bound and Collins was west bound. The head on collisions occurred about 1:00a.m. in the eastbound lane.
The death was the 14th on Freeborn County roads this year.
Judith (Judy) Rachel, 19, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard T. Callahan, 225 Front St. She was a 1964 graduate of Albert Lea and was presently attending Austin Junior College. She was working part time in First National Bank and was a member of St. Theodore's Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Youth Organization.
She was born July 8, 1946.
At Albert Lea High School she was a member of Hi-Teens and a Student Council representative.
Immediate survivors are her parents;

Mrs. Pat(Betty Ann) Pond of Los Angeles, Calif.

Mrs. William (Harriet) Anderson of Albert Lea
Six brothers;
James, Luke, Anthony and Michael of Albert Lea
Paul of Fort Dodge, Iowa
Vincent of Colorado Springs, Colorado
A brother, Daniel, preceded her in death.
Her grandmother, Mrs. Catheryn Callahan lives in Albert Lea.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Theodore's church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
