Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Edwin A. Beckum, 26 year old employee of the Milledgeville State Hospital whose death occured Sunday following a long illness.
The rites were conducted by the Rev. Augie Kilpatrick, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, and burial was in West View cemetery.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Edwin Sherrod Beckum and Thomas Lamar Beckum; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.N. Beckum; three brothers, Jack Beckum, Walter Beckum and Robert Beckum; all of Milledgeville and one sister, Mrs. Bill Sullivan of Holyoke, Mass.
