He married Regina Pfannenstiel on June 2, 1931 at Victoria; she died Oct. 10, 1979. He was a retired farmer, a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church and the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include three sons, Vitus, Valerian and Donald, all of Victoria; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ron (Doris) Lang, Victoria; two brothers, John, Victoria, and Emanuel, Hays; five sisters, Mrs. William Riedel, Park, Mrs. Lioba Meis, Victoria, Sister Basilia Lang, Sister Mary Zita Lang and Sister Katherine Lang, all of Fond du Lac, Wis.; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14 at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Father Gene Emrisek officiated; burial was in the church cemetery.
