On the morning of October 8th, 2014, we lost a precious and beautiful soul, Dorothy A. Fowler Cole. She was born to Freddie and Neda Mae Adams on December 8th, 1930 and passed away peacefully at her home in Lake Dallas, Texas.

She resided most of her life in Jackson, Mississippi where she was the owner of AAA lock & Safe for 42 years and was a long time member of Heritage Baptist Church in Byram, Mississippi.

She was a widow of James E. Cole and predeceased by her 1st husband, Thomas J. Fowler; her only child, Tommie Lynn Pittman, and her sister Mada Juanita Oars.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Dawn Michelle Forgey and great-grand children Christian Forgey, Thomas Forgey, and James “Trey” Forgey III. She is also survived by a brother, Fred Adams Jr. and his wife Christine Adams of Terrell, Texas; another brother, Billy Ray Adams and his wife Mary Lou Adams of Canton, Texas; a nephew, Jimmy Devon Adams and his wife Mary Adams of Terrell, Texas and her nieces Rita O’Daniel, Lisa Foster, and Taunya Oaks along with many other nieces and nephews.

The world was blessed to have had such a wonderful person walk upon it and will be greatly missed. She touched the lives of so many and was so very loved by all.

Visitation will be held on Friday October 17, 2014 from 5pm until 7pm at Parkway Funeral Home located at 1161 Highland Colony parkway, Ridgeland, MS 39157. Services will be held at the prior location on Saturday October 18 at 10:00am with graveside services to follow at 2:00pm located at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko, Mississippi.
