After the war, Harry and Margaret remained on Long Island, residing with Margaret's family before moving to Philadelphia. Harry worked as a master plasterer and became a building contractor.
Harry professed a love of airplanes, but did not fly. He claimed to be present at Roosevelt Field in 1927 when Charles Lindbergh took off in the Spirit of St Louis, 20 May 1927.
He and Margaret had two children:
Harry Craig Walker (1923-2006)
Shirlee Dolores Walker Burgraff (1927-2002)
