Rena Adams Clark, 93 of Alquina, passed away peacefully Monday evening, December 5, 2011, at the Brookville Healthcare Center, where she had been a resident for the past year, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 23, 1917 in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, one of three children of Hobert and Nanna Smith Durham.

On May 30, 1937, she was married to Frank Adams of Rockcastle County, Kentucky; they moved to Connersville for residence.

She was formerly employed at the Richmond Bakery and the J. Garment Factory in Brookville.

On November 14, 1975, she was married to Francis A. Clark of Connersville; Mr. Clark died October 4, 2006.

She was a member of the Alquina United Methodist Church and of the Bentley Biscuit Club.

Survivors include her two daughters, Anita Scott and her husband George and F. Arleen Myers and her husband Ron, both of Liberty, two sons, Roger Adams and his wife Sharon and Roy Adams, both of Connersville, one step-daughter, Loretta Short of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, one step-son, Charles "Chuck" Clark and his wife Karen of Connersville, seven grandchildren, Sherry Scott, Eric Scott and his wife Melody and Stefanie Boggs and her husband Barry, Jennifer Pentecost and his husband Jim, all of Liberty, Michael Adams and his fiancee Rita, both of Connersville, Erin Adams and his wife Megan of Columbus, Indiana and Andrea Butts and her husband Randy of Zionsville, Indiana and twenty-one grandchildren; she was also blessed with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Beside her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lee Durham and Howard Durham.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Alquina United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ben Dilworth and Pastor Carol Wiley, officiating; burial will be in Dale Cemetery – family and friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Thursday at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis and the Cerebral Palsy Foundations.
