Kathy returned to her Heavenly Father on July 19, 2005 from injuries sustained in an accident. She was born July 12, 1946 in Salt Lake City to Ira C. and Irene Archer Anderson. She married Craig W Carter on Dec. 3, 1966 in Salt Lake City and on Dec. 3, 2004 they were sealed in the temple for time and all eternity. Kathy enjoyed the outdoors, loved life, was a free spirit, and had a heart of gold. For thirty years, Kathy worked for the Jordan School District, became a Registered Dietary Manager, and continued her education, receiving many more accomplishments. She served in the Relief Society presidency. Kathy put her special touch in everything she did. She was a loving wife, mother of two daughters, Tricia (Kyle) Starley and Cherie Carter and grandmother of Ricky, Kilie, Synece, Jake, Alek, and Korby. She is also survived by her siblings Marge, Cliff, Fay and Shirley, mother-in-law, Dahl W Carter and other brothers and sisters, Wayne, Carole, Brenda and Steve, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law Authnell J Carter and sister Elaine. Funeral Services will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy on Friday July 22, at 12:00 noon. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 and one hour prior to the services. We cannot express enough thanks to McKay-Dee Hospital's doctors, nurses and staff for their special kindness and care. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.
