Alta Aucutt Doggett, 96 died at 8:05 a.m. today at the home of her daugher, Mrs. Raymond Long in rural Laplata where she had made her home for several years.
Funeral services will be conduced at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Goodding Funeral HOme in Atlanta by the Rev. Forrest Wise of the Atlanta Christian Church and burial will be in the Steele Cemeery northwest of Atlanta.
Mrs. Doggett was born Jan. 28, 1878, the daughter of John Thomas and Laura Bowen Aucutt, on October 9, 1901 at Edina she married to Henry Doggett who preceded her in death in Feb. 1946. Also preceding her in death were 3 brothers, 4 sisters and 1 granddaughter, Kay Carnahan.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. Glenwood (Zelma) Sunderland, of Fellows, Calif.; Mrs. Dale (letha) Wilt of Atlanta, Mrs. Hollis (Goldie) Holt of Taft Calif, and Mrs. Raymond (Leota) Long of Laplata, 1 son, Willard Doggett of Atlanta' four grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 7 great-great- grandchildren, a brother Mitchell Aucutt of Mobelry and a sister, Mrs. Maude Garnett of Atlanta.
Mrs. Doggett was a member of the Christian Church. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Tues. at the Funeral Home.
