CHARLES EDGAR AUCUTT
---Charles Edgar Aucutt, eighty-nine, retired farmer and life-long resident of Knox County, died early Thursday morning at his home in the Hazel Dell community, he had been in failing health for some time.
---Born October 4, 1872 in Knox County he was the son of Thomas and Laura Bowen Aucutt.
---He married Nina Susan Allen on February 22, 1972 and to this marriage nine children were born.
---She preceded him in death on March 23, 1954. Also preceding him in death were his parents, one infant son, one brother and two sisters.
---Surviving are five sons, Ellis Aucutt of Kansas City, Elra Aucutt and Clovis Aucutt of the home, Ernie Aucutt of Lamar and Wayne Aucutt of Kansas City; three daughters, Mrs. Loran (Blanche) Mumford of Keyston, Nebraska, Alma Moyer of the home, and Mrs. R.M. (Viola) Boyer of Ft. Worth, Texas; two brothers, John of Atlanta and Michael of Memphis; four sisters, Ellen Bowen and Nervie Cloyd, both of Novelty, Maud Garnett of Atlanta and Alta Doggett of La Plata; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
---Funeral services were held in the Christian Church in La Plata Saturday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev. Frank Stout officiating. Interment was in the La Plata Cemetery.
---Christie Funeral Service in La Plata was in charge of services.
